Don Sheldon Mountain House

Whether you are a seasoned climber or an outdoor enthusiast, the "Don Sheldon Mountain House" is the experience of a lifetime. The six-sided cabin nestled in the Alaska Range has a wood stove and sleeping benches. It's a great place to base camp out of or just hang out and enjoy a full frontal view of Denali (Mt. McKinley), from 6,100 ft. above sea level on the Ruth glacier. The Don Sheldon Mountain House was built and homesteaded by Holly Sheldon's father, inside the current boundary of Denali National Park, before the land was annexed into the park.

Come and comfortably spend time amid the massive snow, rock, and ice of North America's tallest peak, Denali (Mt. McKinley). We offer the safest, most experienced, cost-effective flight to and from the mountain house
