Denali Grand Tour

On a beautiful, panoramic Alaskan day we offer our Denali Grand Tour.  This is our premiere flight which includes everything on the Mountain House Tour and the Base Camp tour plus a full circle trip around Mt. Mckinley.

Your trip begins at the ramp at Talkeetna State Airport by boarding one of our rugged mountain aircraft, for a 1.5 hour tour throughout the World renowned Alaska Range. 

After taking off to the west we reach an altitude of 8,000 feet to fly through One Shot Pass, over the Kahiltna Base Camp and around the north side of Mt. Mckinley abeam the Wickersham Wall.  As you circle the mountain around the North Face you will gaze out over the endless expanse of interior Alaska and fly over Muldrow Glacier, Traleika Glacier, Traleika Cole then decend through 747 Pass to the Mountain House.

If you choose the glacier landing option, the pilot will set the airplane down at the Mountain House, for a once in a lifetime experience of resting on the glacier with breathtaking views of towering sheer granite peaks all around you.  From the Mountain House passengers will exit via the Ruth Glacier, past Ruth Icefalls, out of the Alaska Range back to the airport in Talkeetna.

Sheldon Air Service requires 48 hours notice of cancellation for reserved air travel to receive full refund of any payment directly related to the flight. Deposits for all scenic flight trips are 100% refundable if cancellation is due to weather.
